Ibis Strasbourg Centre Gare

Was here for 2 nights - had a wonderful stay! When we checked in (early), we were assigned a room on a lower floor, which was kind of dark so we asked for a room on a higher floor with a better view. We told that it would be ready during normal check in time at 3pm, and when we came back, a room on the highest floor had been assigned to us! With a view of the Cathedral! Service was great - Clémence was especially helpful with everything we needed: toiletries, getting to know the place etc etc.. always smiling, and letting me practice my French even though we both struggled to sometimes understand each other haha x Location is great too - you can literally see the hotel right from inside the station, and is just 10 min walk to Petite Paris; I walked around at 2am and though it was quiet I didn’t really feel unsafe. The only thing that might be an issue is that when you keep the luggage in the luggage room(LR) you are given tickets to attach to your baggage but no one checks if you’ve taken the tokens that were assigned to you, the guests can access the LR by themselves which is a security issue because we had iPads and laptops with us and it was stressful to think that someone else could easily take it from there when the reception staff is busy.. maybe you could accompany the guest to the LR, let them pick their own bags but just re-check the tag numbers just in case? Overall, perfect for a short stay!

The staff who checked us in was so wonderful and welcoming. She even discussed with us the places we can go to around the area. The room was a bit squeezy the sofa bed was too soft to lay on. The coat hanging area was too small considering that we went on a winter season so expected that we have thick coats and we dont have elsewhere to hang. It could be also a good thing to put a tiny kettle maybe so at least we can drink warm water.

Spent a couple if nights with Family during Christmas. Location is Superb!! Specially if ur getting in with the train for a short stay Less than 5 Mins walk from Train station & 10 mins walk to Notre Dame cathedral 5 Mins walk to petite france - so u could really feel in the middle of christmas action very clean - i think recently renovated - During christmas they has lively & nice decorations
